Orion has worked with energy medicine since discovering Tai Chi in college, and using it to heal a chronic shoulder injury. He completed a 4-year, 3000-hour Masters of Oriental Medicine program at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado in 2001. He was certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in 2001 and was licensed as an acupuncturist by the State of Colorado (Acu. Lic. #846) in 2002. 

 

After school, Orion honed his skills as a healer in a variety of environments- private practice, a hospital setting, an addiction treatment center, and retreat centers in Mexico and South America. He is currently practicing at the iHeal Collective Eastern Medicine and Alternative Health center in Ixtapa, Mexico. 

 

Orion is trained in a blend of Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture which he integrates with  electro-acupuncture, auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture), massage, cupping, moxibustion and other modalities.  He uses AcuGraph, an imaging system for acupuncture meridian diagnosis. He also offers needleless treatments with Acutonics tuning forks. 

 

Orion has been practicing and teaching Qigong (energy cultivation) for over 30 years and feels passionately that energy cultivation techniques are a necessary addition to any alternative medicine treatment.
